Group of meat producers from Alentejo
ELIPEC is the name of a group of livestock producers from the Alentejo region of Portugal, recognized as a Producer Organization, with more than 100 associated farming estates that commercialize beef, lamb, goat and pork products.
The main goal of ELIPEC is the follow up and commercialization of the livestock production of their associated farming estates- bovine, ovine, swine and caprine.
With more than 10.000 cows, 14.000 sheep, 2.000 sows and 4.000
goats, Elipec purchases live animals as well as beef, lamb, pork and goat meat fresh, frozen or vacuum packed.
The animals are reared and graze on the excellent Alentejo pastures, in a way of farming which respects the balance of the land, the nature, and the animal’s well-being, both on Integrated Production and Organic Farming. This is certified by independent entities in order to achieve the finest tasting products of excellent quality in which you can totally trust.
In order to value the meat products as well as to guarantee the highest food standards, Elipec created two brands: Elipec Bio and Herança do Alentejo. These brands develop bovine and ovine products that can be sold fresh, frozen, whole or in parts in a tray or vacuum bag.
All Elipec Bio products are organic and carry the certification seal from the European Union
All Herança do Alentejo products are from animals raised on the fields with respect for their well-being and preservation of the environment so as to assure long-term sustainable farming.
All Elipec Bio products are organic bearing the European Union certification.
All the products of this brand, come from animals that live in the field.
